"People should know I'm a sweetheart outside the ring, but in the ring "Oh girl". The streets inspired me. The best of me is still to come. My dear, for me each day I live in this life I'm proud of every moment because life is the best gift one could have." Sharif Bogere talks to SylvanaBoxing. Check it out.

SA: Sharif, thanks for taking the time to talk to SylvanaBoxing. What’s good?

SB: No, I am thanking you for checking on me. Everything is blessed thanks to God. I have no fights lined up yet but I'm hoping not that long and I will be back in the ring soon.

SA: Before we start to talk about your boxing career I would like you to introduce yourself to your fans, and our readers?

SB: Sharif is a sweetheart outside the ring. What I like to do for fun varies. Can I say hunting down some prey (laughs) but yeah my favorite is God nothing else. I grew up in Kampala Uganda. I'm thankful to Allah. I was a good kid. People should know I’m a sweetheart out side the ring, but in the ring "oh girl”!

SA: How did you actually end up going to Las Vegas and signing with Golden Boy?

SB: Everything is destined my friend. God has the plan for everything. I'm a grown man (laughs). I got find me some bread so wherever God puts me, I'm home.

SA: You were a five-time African Champion and the captain of the Ugandan national boxing team. You turned pro in 2008. With a record of 23-1-0 tell us about your amateur and pro career to date.

SB: Amateur career was amazing but I had to run out of it so quick. It wasn't fair at all. All my fights have been good the best of me is still to come. My dear, for me each day I live in this life I’m proud of every moment because life is the best gift one could have. And everything is like a lesson we got to go through.

SA: You won the WBO NABO lightweight title. How did it feel?

SB: I was so happy and thankful to Al-Fattah (The Victory Giver). I plan on doing a lot of great things if Allah let me.

SA: How does your family feel about you fighting?

SB: My mother… awh poor woman. May Allah grant her better life here and hereafter. She's proud of me but can't come and see me fight live. She would probably jump into the ring.

SA: Anyone you look up to or that inspires you?

SB: I already did what others haven't done but apart from that lots of respect and great excitement. The streets inspired me.

SA: Do you have a message to your fans, supporters and everyone else reading this?

SB: My fans - I love you all. I pray to God to give you all good health.
