"I want to thank everyone out there for their loyal support, and I'll make sure you have something exciting to look for when I fight! My next fight is this saturday, May 18th in Zitacuaro Michoacan, Mexico. I will be fighting Edgar Sosa." SylvanaBoxing speaks to Giovani Segura two days before his fight, check it out.

Giovanni Segura and Tony Rivera

SA: So you will fight this saturday...

GS: Yes, my next fight is this saturday on May 18th in Zitacuaro Michoacan, Mexico. I will be fighting Edgar Sosa.

SA: What do you do in between fights?

GS: I’m always doing family reunions. I go to church every week, and I always watch Saturday night fights.

SA: How did it feel to beat a great champion like Ivan Galderon, in front of all his fans?

GS: It really really felt great! It was a large crowd and they were all booing me, after I put him down, I could barely hear the few fans that I did have there.

SA: Your favorite Puerto Rico vs. Mexico Fight?

GS: It would have to be the Edwin Rosario/Julio Cesar Chavez fight.

SA: Who would you like to fight next?

GS: Gallito Estrada, and of course, Brian Viloria.

SA: Do you think the smaller fighters get the credit that they deserve?

GS: We never get the credit or the money that we truly deserve.

SA: What would you say was your finest performance and toughest fight?

GS: I would have to say my second fight with Cesar Canchila. He beat me on a decision in Las Vegas and in the rematch, I knocked him out in four rounds in Mexicali, Mexico. My toughest, I guess it would have to be Brian Viloria. Say what they say, I was not at 100%.

SA: What legacy do you want to leave in boxing, what are your goals?

GS: That I was a fun fighter to watch, a huge heart, and a respectful punch. Right now I'm saving for my future, and to soon open my own business.

SA: Do you have a message for your fans?

GS: Yes of course, I want to thank everyone out there for their loyal support, and I'll make sure you have something exciting to look for when I fight! Also thank you very much for this interview.
